Do you have one?

Can you survive?

Yes.
But you need to improve on your skills, you have potential but I think you lack any formal training from what I can see in your gallery, am I right?

Everyone thinks they can be a photographer as soon as they pick up a camera but there's a lot to learn so if you're serious, get yourself along to some classes and really study everything to do with photography that you can possibly learn, it's a competitive market and without knowledge of everything and an impressive portfolio, it's easy to get left behind.

I hope that helps! Good luck!

TtotheAFFY is right. you have enormous potential, but might need a bit of advanced training. Theres alot to learn about professional photography, I completed an Advanced photography course only to realise I barely scratched the surface, however alot of practice and determination will get you where you want to go.

The photography industry is indeed highly competitive. Probably the best way to get noticed is to take a photo of something most people would never see, or by taking a photo of something from a different perspective to what most people are used to. A good example of this is *ninazdesign's Macro photography, She takes almost everyday objects and photographs them in a perspective no-one has ever seen before.

You have an exceptional eye for composition, especially when it comes to cuisine photography.

Attending regular photography classes will help you master the various techniques and factors of a great photo.

May i ask what equipment you use, as your equipment can make or break the perfect image. I know I've been let down by my equipment a few times :(.

Thanks for the input. I would like to get some training, and I'm looking into some classes in college. Unfortunately, it isn't a photographic-specific school I'm attending, but somehow I'm going to figure out something.

As for equipment, I've been using a Canon PowerShot A610, but I just recently purchased a Canon XT Rebel (which I am quite excited about). I also have a reflector, but have yet to use it.
